James speaks

Kelsey Amell
James told me the bible says
God knows all the stars by name.
Everybody seems to seak the stars under the shine of the moon,
accepting that if they don't reach the moon,
at least they will fall upon the stars in their personal happiness.

This, I ponder
There is a reason each individual has their own purpose and it is unnacceptable for such individuals to become almost nothing.
They strive for independence from a minority
and fly away from the becoming of what everyone else's weakness has settled for.
Only to be different, and be noticed.

This strength is overbearing.
The strength to want more so bad
we slum around with a broken,
theatric smile while we breakdown,
excluding ourselves from the norm
until we can't stand to be anything but something.

We will be the moon.
We will band together to perform a universal strike
of our lack of weakness,
begging to become something other than another flickering name in outerspace
floating with almost no purpose at all,
as their names fade into a black hole
robbing them of hidden talent and potential.
Though we are stars in the beginning,
the strongest will thrive in greatness.

This strength is overbearing.
The strength to want more so bad
we slum around with a broken, theatric smile while we breakdown
excluding ourselves.
