Christopher Bell :: American Hero

Christopher Bell :: American Hero
Jamestown based singer / songwriter, and AAAlliance member Chris Bell is currently in the middle of a 6 week tour playing coffeeshops throughout Upstate New York on his way to the city. this would normally not be a very big event in the national media, because Chris Bell has toured all over the continental US playing coffeeshops.

However this particular tour has been featured in both The N.Y. Times and on NPR, because Mr. Bell is touring Upstate New York from Buffalo to NYC by canoe. He is alone, with his instruments in his boat in dry bags. He chose this method of touring as a response to high gas prices, equipped with the knowledge that 75% of the population of Upstate NY lives within 25 miles of the canal.

Rumor has it that he will be featured on CBS news some time this week. Chris Bell will be back in Jamestown, if everything goes according to plan, to play a set for the Local Music Showcase downtown on September 6th. The AAAlliance will be there to welcome him home. Our hats are off to you Chris.
