Skatepark Fundraiser :: April 12-15 :: JTNY

Several AAAlliance member artists will be hanging work at The Gateway Center on Water St. in Jamestown, as part of their spring jam skatepark fundraiser next week. There's also still plenty of room for more visual artists to participate with us. If you're interested in being a part of this show, please contact us asap.

It's a 3 day event, with each day being sponsored by a different local skate or bike shop. Each day will feature live local music, giveaways, and some incredible riding and skating by local teams and some sponsored pros. ALL the proceeds for all 3 days will go towards park maintenance, repairs, and expansion. SUPPORT THIS!

Closing Reception :: Saturday February 27 :: JTNY
Our 4-person show of new work from Angela Caley, Bill Thomas, Casey Brink, and David Grice is sill hanging at the Wright Gallery in downtown Jamestown, through the end of February.

The last day of the show will be Saturday Feb 27th, and on that night we'll be doing a closing reception at the gallery with the artists. It's basically just another excuse for us to throw a party, but also an opportunity for anyone who hasn't seen the show to catch it before it comes down.

The Wright Gallery is located at 116 East 3rd street, 2nd floor. The Closing Reception will go from 6-10 pm, with an afterparty somewhere downtown.

More details TBA. Stay Tuned...

Call For Artists :: New York State :: Spring / Summer 2010
2010 is going to be a HUGE year for the AAAlliance. We've been busier than ever, planning shows for the upcoming Spring and Summer, and we're also forming some new working relationships with the Arts "Establishment" in our hometown to try and secure a more permanent storefront gallery/studio space in Downtown Jamestown, NY.

As usual, all of our confirmed shows for 2010 (so far) are happening in Western NY state, which is the physical hub of our network. If you are an AAAlliance member who can be here to hang your work and party with us at the opening, you're invited to participate in any of our upcoming group events. Confirmed group shows so far include:

-Sat March 20 (Spring Equinox) :: PRIVATE PARTY for AAAlliance Members & Supporters @ Galactic Systems HQ:: Jamestown, NY
(postponed until saturday 4/24)

-Sat May 29 (Memorial Day Weekend) :: Spring Showcase / Party / BBQ @ JCC College Park :: FREE ALL AGES SHOW :: Jamestown, NY

-Late August : REGIONAL REBIRTH 2 : Adams Art Gallery, Dunkirk, NY

+Lots More TBA.

If you would like to get more involved, but aren't located anywhere near WNY, we'd love to assist you in making a show happen in your own hometown. Contact Us and we'll do what we can to help with planning, promotion, and finding artists to help you make something awesome and successful happen wherever you're located. We're always looking for opportunities to expand the reach of our network, and to help other creative people stay motivated. We'd like to hear from YOU.
